Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Pathways to Qualsafe Level 4 Diploma for Associate Ambulance Practitioners (L4AAP)

Our Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) routes are designed to provide streamlined and supportive pathways for individuals aiming to achieve the Qualsafe Awards Level 4 Diploma for Associate Ambulance Practitioners (AAP) qualification. By acknowledging your existing qualifications and experience, we facilitate a more efficient progression into advanced clinical roles.
Available RPL Routes:
We currently offer RPL pathways for candidates holding the following qualifications:
FREUC 5 (First Response Emergency and Urgent Care Level 5(pre-October 2023))
FREC 4 (First Response Emergency Care Level 4)
L3AEUCS (Ambulance Emergency & Urgent Care Support)
IHCD Technician Certificate
Irish EMT (PHECC registered)
Irish Paramedic (PHECC registered)
Each application is assessed individually to ensure alignment with the AAP curriculum. Our team will work closely with you to identify any bridging requirements and tailor your learning plan accordingly.
Course Details:
FREUC 5 (New Standard) to AAP:
Duration: 5 Days
Price: £ on request and submission of evidence (incl. VAT)
FREUC 5 (Previous Standard) to AAP:
Duration: 3 weeks of classroom training plus clinical placement
Price: £ on request and submission of evidence (incl. VAT)
FREC 4 to AAP:
Duration: 5 weeks of classroom training plus 750 hours of clinical placement
Price: £ on request and submission of evidence (incl. VAT)
L3AEUCS to AAP:
Duration: 4 weeks of classroom training plus 750 hours of clinical placement
Price: £ on request and submission of evidence (incl. VAT)
IHCD Technician to AAP:
Duration: 3 weeks of classroom training plus clinical placement (unless currently employed in frontline services)
Price: £ on request and submission of evidence (incl. VAT)
Please note all RPL courses require a minimum deposit of £1000 to secure your place

Proof of relevant prior qualification (e.g., FREC 4, FREUC 5, AEUCS, IHCD Technician Certificate, NQEMT + registration)
A valid and current license or certification corresponding to the qualification held
